Warning: NSFW/ The Naughty Side of Etsy

Just a warning, some of the picture therein are of underwear and might be NSFW.

I Love love love underthings.

Ms. Belle is a specially shaped woman. Like we all are
. Many mainstream companies that deal in lingerie often have women in the wrong size, especially when it comes to your bra size. Often times we are to
ld especially by Victoria's Secret that we are a certain size, and we aren't!

Vicki's had been telling me for years that I wore a 34 DD when I got measured at Wizard of Bras here in California it turns out I wore a 34F! Now yours truly is wearing a quite comfortable 32H. Maybe that's an overshare, but it's really important that you get your bra measured correctly outside of Victoria's Secret. Wearing the wrong bra can lead to all sorts of back and support
 problem dearies.

I bet you didn't know that Etsy sells custom underthings. From Pasties to Panties Etsy has tons of things to make you feel correct and sexy no matter the size. Here are some of my top picks!

For the adventurous gall HMS latex offers great prices on garments that would otherwise be mass produced and nine paychecks! I myself lust after this cute Bolero, but I really want to show you the Quarter Cup Frilly Latex Bra. Not only is is sassy and sexy, it comes in any color combo you could dream of!

I effing lurve this shop. They have the cutest panties and will make everything in custom sizing! I'm a huge fan of the Morning Glory Panties, but I want to bring you the Tiger Lily Camisole. Not only does it look sexy, but it looks super comfy!

Bombshell Design is a new shop, but they really have started on the right foot.  I love the Flora Underwire Bra.So cute!

For those who love corsets LaBelle Fairy has some moderately priced ones that are really a treat. My current favorite is the Overbust Scarlet Silk Victorian. That red is so delicious, and all of her corsets have steel boning, which is the best boning. Also can we say plus sizes?! T
here are some super gorgeous photos at the site. Please check this one out lovelies.

5.  Gothfoxdesigns

I've kept my burlesque loving eye on this shop, because I really want a pair of the Champagne Purple Satin and Rhinestone Nipple Pasties. I mean if I must twirl my girls I want to twirl them in style. Plus I really have the desire to create a huge purple headress to wear with it!

Updates, Holidays and Awesomeness at the Belle!

So many of you are like, "OH NO! WHERE ARE MY UPDATES?!" Well, my loves here they are. There are dozens of new things at the Belle. Including a restructuring of sections in the shop. The Belle Cheveux collection encompasses all the fantastic things I make for your hair that can't fit into other collections. For some strange reason I love making hair accessories. Some of my favorite things in the Belle Cheveux collection are my hair clips which use vintage buttons and hair clips I give a deep patina to.

Currently I'm crushing on the Orabelles, which I think would be perfect for parties. There's a dozen of them that are super fun, so check them out! They also make great stocking stuffers!

Another new collection Belle Kawaiiencompasses all things inspired by Japanese Cuteness. That's where you find mascots and uber cute brooches, hair clips and earrings!
I am in love with the I Am A Banana Hair clips and the Shake it Up earrings.

Both of them are made from vintage 1980's poly resin parts. So cute!

And now the updates you've been waiting for... Horns. These are probably the most expensive horns I've made, but they are encrusted with REAL swarovski crystals. Evening out at $25 a pair these horns are really glamorous.

First up, made especially fro those celebrating Yule, The Holly King horns are gorgeous. Done in a deep metallic fores green with firey colored swarovski crystals, these kind of glow and sparkle with power. Neat eh?

The other pair is the beautiful St. Nikolaus horns. They're done in a bright red and studded with emerald green crystals. Beautiful!

Watch out this Monday in which we'll have a serious one Day Holiday sale for Eid ul' Adha

Also, if you lurve free shipping and read this blog, mention that you read the blog and receive free shipping on all Belle Kawaii items until Tuesday!

Love ya loves!

Bustling at the Belle

Lest you lovelies think I was slacking off, I've been in serious high production to bring some quality things for you this season. Expect a snowy white fascinator next week to pop up and some amazing knits from the Belle as well. There *will* be Yule and X-mas horns. Here are just  a few of the updates to tease you up. ;)

First up is the Imperial Dragon Horns. I was thinking sparkly dragons with this pair, and honestly I absolutely love the fact that I get to use jade and jasper cabochons! My fiancee disagrees with the Dragon idea as he thinks they look like Cthulu horns. Hmm...

The Mesdames X line has been really been brought up. There are several new neck ruffs, and I have to admit to the Victoria being my favorite.
It's such a sumptuous little Mama to put on.  It's very quirky and fun, yet very elegant. The browns really work together. Also I can add vintage velvet as a custom lining for added luxury. Squee! There's also the equally kick ass Marseilles which is the double of the choker I wore for my Little Red Riding Hood Costume. Everything in the Mesdames X line is of course hand sewn.

My most favorite of my updates is my Sugar Plum fairy horns! Glitter, metallic plum paint and purple glass cabochons! To die for!

Stay tuned, because this evening there's going to be an article of the creative packaging going on here at the Belle!

I'm Bringing the Shiny!

Last night was a rather busy night here in Violentbelle land. There are a ton of new earrings up, including the irresistibly cute pewter "Cuff Me" earrings. Mmm. Tasty.
Also there's a new Necklace up, the Rock and Roll Queen. The Rock and Roll Queen is a necklace that I'm super proud of. It consists of a rattlesnake vertebrae on curled wire with a patina-ed dull razor blade. The charm that tops this all off is a guitar pick I found in an abandoned building. To me this necklace exudes rock and class. Blood, Bone and Music.

Also, because Violentbelle is antsy I've dropped mini hat prices again, and at this point I am unlikely to go any lower on these crop of hats.
You can get a regular sized mini hat for $45 dollars and a chibi mini for about $20-30. Yea. That's lower than the cost to make the pretties.
I just want to give them good homes as I'm not making any more until this batch is gone from the house.

Keep tuned I have a HUGE update to the Mesdames X collection looming!

November Lovin'.

Good morning ma belles!

Now that Halloween is over things have slowed down at the Belle, and I wanted to thank each and every one of you for your support. November is a month for cleaning and as such I have slashed prices on my mini hats...dangerously. If you've admired a hat of mine I urge you to get it now that I've taken between $10 and $20 dollars off. So that $75 dollar hat you had your eye on could be $50. The Ice Princess is the cheapest hat at the mo being only $25 bucks. Yeah. I know, it's almost criminal.

I also bring new treats for you! Remember those ultra special horns I spoke about? Well meet the Marie Antoinette. Done is a rich rococo blue with pearl and antique gold marbling the Marie Antoinette horns are wrapped in gold wire and have white veined marble cabochons.
I really wanted a pair of barrettes that would capture the quirkiness of one of my favorite periods, and I'm super proud of them! If you love the Marie Antoinette, but are on a budget try the La Dauphine horns. Same coloring no frills.

The Czarina horns are another favorite, much like the Blood Drop horns. Done in gold wire with perfect tear drop blood red Austrian crystals on a deep red background.

Lest you think I bring only horns I also have some awesome additions to the Mesdames X line.
I think you're going to die for the Soul Key brooch. A pewter skull rests on frayed rich wine velvet ribbon which in turn rests on a bright silver toned filigree disk. Attached to the disk is a dangling pewter key with a heart shape. Once you affix the brooch the key dangles beautifully. I have my own one of these cuties and I ADORE it. I got a lot of compliments on it so I'm offering it up to you.

Another part of the Mesdames X collection is a rarity with a story.

I bought these razor blades in a findings house. I was told they were cheaply dipped in actual 14k gold and used throughout the seventies to cut coke. The guy thought someone would eventually buy the razor blades and make *something* from them.
These dull blades have a rich patina, and so I decided it would be best to just turn it into a simple yet beautiful brooch. Violentbelle would be super pleased if you didn't use this blunt blade for its intended purpose.  It would look far better if you stuck it on a sweet velvet jacket and made it yours.

Halloween At the Belle

It's no secret that I LOVE to dress up. Even if I wear a simple jeans and Tee combination, I generally still like to do something funky with my hair or wear an odd accessory. I've worn a ton of costume in my life, and I'm here to show you my absolute favorites from the past five years(that I can find.  a picture of).

First up is my first college creation. I went as a broken doll, and
you could pull the string in my back and  I'd say some pretty horrible stuff. The outfit itself is a restitched and purposed vintage 1950's taffeta party dress, and I wore another 1950's slip underneath. It was cold so I carried a sweet knitted matching sweater! I sewed all the bows and made all the accessories myself way before I had a machine to call my own.

Another outfit I was proud of was my Queer Bash Costume from the Spring of '05. QB is a party thrown by my alma mater's QSU that basically celebrated Coming Out Days. It was the best party on campus every semester. I'm proud to say that from that year on I won every costume contest for QB while I was there. Score!

That year I
upcycled again. The theme was Seven Sins and I of course went as pride.  I created a bustle and boot tops of spray painted gold and green tulle. There
were dozens of gold painted chopsticks lining my bun, and pearls everywhere. But the coolest part of this outfit? I spirit gummed peacock feather to my temples so they look like lashes. Oh yeah.

My final QB costume was an Artemis(Can you tell how much I love her) costume I'm very proud of, but that I'll  show you some time in November when I start to document my first foray into Con masquerades.

Moving out of college and into Hollywood Goth scene where every weekend is Halloween comes me as Zoe Wasburne from Firefly.  This wasn't my best effort, but I had two weeks and a thrift store in order to complete this one. I don't think it was *that* bad.

One of my last big costumes that was my favorite was a Harajuku girl done for an anime night at Malediction, a fairly popular Goth club here. I had two huge falls in my hair, and as many vintage fluorescent accessories as I could manage. The dress itself was was an upcycled 70's black gown that was hacked short and tied with a florescent 70's obi sash! It pales in comparison to the actual women of that hallowed district, but hey, I tried.

So dive into your closets ma Belles! I'm sure there's a costume waiting somewhere!

Halloween Yea! Free Shipping!

Good morning My loves!

I know you  have heard me mention all the time that Halloween is one of my favoritest Holidays, and basically the OFFICIAL ViolentBelle Holiday, so I have come bearing gifts for you everyday this week. Today's gift is FREE SHIPPING ON HORNS AND BARRETTES. That's right. If you buy horns today they will be shipped by regular mail free of charge. If you want them priority shipped it will be discounted by the amount shipping usually is! Keep tuning into this spot as there will be some uber special horns up Today and Tomorrow. I will give you the names of two horns Marie Antoinette and Czarina, so get excited!

But the fantastic awesomeness is not the only thing I bring. I bring some of my favorite etsy things that are Halloween themed to you.
Etsy may have stopped recognizing Halloween, but seeing as we still have all week, I plan to showcase some of my favorite finds!

First up is Etsy seller Shadowswolf. She's new to etsy, and makes the most beautiful dreamcatchers! She has a bunch that I love(she also does custom work) but this Witch Dreamcatcher is just too cute.  I really like the little spell book in the corner!

The next delicious find comes from Seller ioianthe who makes the most beautiful masks. I swear these are hella creative and so awesome it hurts. My favorite on theme mask of hers is currently the Poor Yorick mask.
Done in vegetable tanned leather, this mask is great for any Masquerade you might be thinking of. In fact I have a inkling to hire her for commission for an LOJ mask!

I can't get enough of Bellatrix Art! There are some really lush prints there, all of them with rich vibrant colors done in a very spooky way. Currently I'm crushing hard on her Darkness and Wander series, and my favorite is the Lost Without you Print. Fantastic!

It's a Beautiful Day for an update....

So I've been busting my bottom to get you the horns you deserve lovelies, and I now have over 22 horns up! After Wednesday horn production will cease for a while, and then only Premium horns(wire wrapped/jewel encrusted) will be available until next Halloween.  Yeah, so if you really want horns now is the time. Here are a few of the new horns to whet your appetite:

The snake eyes horns are a personal favorite of mine. Done in the distinct ViolentBelle marbling they are wrapped in gold wire with REAL rattlesnake vertebrae! *squee* I almost didn't want to post them up, but I have to say I love them dearly and I want them to go to a home that will love them too.
Another set of my favorite horns has to be the Blood drop horns!
I love them so much. They're
simple but really pretty. Plain black glossed horns with silver wire and tear drop shaped Austrian Crystal. I know! Decadent and the look wicked awesome on!

Besides these some old favorites have returned! So make sure you stop on by and tell your friends!!

Shipping Madness/Updates

It is shipping madness here at the VB household. I'm shipping everyday sometimes up to two or three times. Whew.  I'm getting a workout for you lovelies. In addition to that we have a BUNCH of new horns(and I have like 5 more to put up besides!).
Here's just a few to whet your appetite. I have to run(Moar Shipping!) but I'll be back soon with more.
On our left is apart of a set of new and interesting ideas from VB, horns twined in wire and stones.
The stone of the Silver in the Blood horns happen to be Austrian Crystal.  They also come in Gold.

Below is the Purple Fae horns. I had a friend's costume in mind when I did these. I mean we LOVE purple here at VB, and I  couldn't help myself. Who doesn't love glitter?
Like pearls? Then the Blood and Pearls option is perfect for you. Vintage faux pearls and gold wire are decidedly Baroque. I felt soooo decadent when I made these. These would be perfect for a demonic Elizabeth the 1st.

Bunnies and Swamps

Okay lovelies I have to run back Downtown, but I just wanted to let everyone know it's shipping/creating mania here at VB. Almost ALL of my horns were bought yesterday. Straight up. I put up three new ones and there will be three more tonight and so on. I have a pile of commissions which are thankfully easy, and I continue to finish of the Silk Spectre Choker. I'm planning to ship that on Monday. Booya

Oh and I wrote about Bunnies right? Well, LA has some pretty awesome graffiti art and I would be remiss if I didn't show you what was spray painted on the fence near my building. Two awesome rabbits. Apparently it's apart of Project Rabbit.

Great Horns of Fire

What a surprise! This morning I was featured in an Etsy's Finds e-mail. Ever since then I've been trying to update you lovelies and fill orders like a mad woman. Maaaaaad. I made seven pair of horns last night! Seven, and still counting.
I am of course still making things for Mesdames X, but as they require models, they're slower to put up. If I can corral a few of my beauties to play this weekend you'll have them.
Have you seen the Halloween Candy inspired Horns I've been up to? They're so much fun to make, I'm still trying to think of some other candies to make.

I have a huge trip to the Post office followed by another trip to the Downtown fashion district. I've become an utter perfectionist when it comes to that Silk Spectre choker, and finding the perfect skull is super important. So far I have gone through three skulls and wrote them all off for being a bit too small. I think I may have found the perfect one though and I'm so flipping excited.

The only thing that has kept me from you my lovelies is the flurry of commissions last week. I want to get these up and out into the hands of excited owners around the world who'll be wearing my creations for Halloween! The most exciting commission yet is for the choker worn by Silk Spectre in the infamous comic Watchmen. Squee! I promise pictures by the end of the week, which is when the choker will be done. I only have a few words to give you until then: Black hand dyed Vintage Swiss Silk backed velvet. Yum!

I'm such a tease. I know. :)

My Horns, Let Me Show you Them

When I came back from Vegas I had a huge order for horns, and I thought that somehow my supply was depleted. I guess not. Turns out I had finished a metric tonne of them before I left and sort of forgot about them! I thought I'd pass these along as the first post of the day. Keep on the look out for a double post today, because I have pictures and announcements and all sorts of neat things. Onto the horns!

The La Doree horns on the left are one of my new favorites. It's this neat pale gold I had lying around mixed with a great deeper gold. These came out super duper awesome and have that marbling effect I've been favoring. I'd link to these horns but apparently they've already sold! This is a good thing.
My next pair of horns are a twist on the
traditional Devil Horns! The Sweet Copper Devil Horns are fun and flirty. Done in a really kick ass iridescent red, these horns have delicate
copper running through them and have nifty
copper tips! Tomorrow or tonight I'll post something similar, but not quite. Why am I telling you this? Because these too have already sold. It looks like I need to write faster folks. :)

Another set I've released into the wild is my Rococo Fae Horns! These haven't sold yet, so don't worry!
I love these horns sooo much. Probably because I love the Rococo period.
The art... the furniture. Well, now you can have the horns! These are some seriously textured horns folks. Seriously.
They're done in pale pink, lavender, shamrock green and gold in a mottled texture. Super fun and right up the alley for girly girls of all ages. I have several friends who inspired these horns with their sweet disposition and sunny imaginative personalities.

My big reveal is my Pumpkin Queen Horns!
These were truly inspired by Fall, Halloween and all things cheeky and spooky. They're horns made to be done up like a pumpkin! The top is iridescent green. The middle is a rich orange copper and the bottom is pumpkin striped! These were lucky enough to be featured on Saucha's blog. Check them out over there!

Back From Vegas!

Whoo! I'm back from Vegas!

I'd like to tell you I won like a trillion dollars and we took a bunch of pictures, but the truth was we stayed in bed and read and caught a show. That's about it folks. The Violentbelle Household is deliciously boring that way. But I had fun, and that's what matters.

I will say that I enjoyed La Reve a lot. Lots of highly attractive nearly naked bald men in water doing feats of strength? Yes please! As an artist I thought the sets were fantastic and the costumes delicous. All very steampunk/tribal/art deco. As a former person of the theater it was meh. No real storyline, but it is fun to watch. Speaking of which here:

I Swear I haven't Fallen Off the Face of the Planet

Things at ViolentBelle were...tiring and sick ladies and gentlemen. I went to Disneyland last Friday and came home with some sort of stomach flu that put me out of commish. TMI? Maybe. Maybe not. But once I got better I worked double time to make you guys a whole new batch of horns! *SQUEE* Let's introduce you to some of them shall we?

I had some sort of a Greek mythology kick so many of the designs were based on Greek Goddesses or monsters. Then I just got a general legend kick so some of these are also inspired by that.

On our left we have the really gorgeously painted Phoenix horns! I may have to retake that picture, because honestly it doesn't do those horns justice. That paint job is one of the best I've ever done. The gold and the bright yellow really bring out the fire in these horns.

On the right are the Woodland Fae Horns. These are some seriously textured horns. They're super rich in detail. Golds and browns and greens and bronzes all on a pink base. Though honestly you can't tell the base is pink. It adds a little lightness without being *GAH THIS IS PINK!*.

I like it. Very mottled.

Another paint job I'm proud of is the Hera horns. I wanted to do Hera horns that were reminiscent of a peacock, since peacock's are Hera's sacred animal.

So I splattered and mottled these horns with lots of iridescent peacock colors. Lots of rich bronze, topaz, and greens. I almost don't want to sell them. I kind of want to keep these for myself. Ah. Ces't la vie.

Here is a new option that may make many of you horn enthusiasts happy. I'm now offering CUSTOM horns. Yeah, that's right. For a few dollars extra as a base price I'll make you whatever color(s) you desire. You want sparkly crystal encrusted horns? Sure. A bit o' extra and I'll make those too.

Many more updates today, so keep posted here folks! It's my way of saying sorry for abandoning you for a few days!

Squee Thursday!

I'm not just a seller on Etsy, I'm a buyer too. So I love looking around for quirky things I can wear, or art that I can hang.  So here are today's Squees!!!

This media work is pretty stunning. I happen to love beautiful afros and curls ( I used to sport one myself) and I think its great to see a painting that compares that style to a graceful creature. The lines of the piece are amazing too. All in all a funky piece I want to put in my hall.

2.

Holy Awesome Batman! I think I'm in love. I hope they're lying by saying that's the last bar.  One it's an adorable and spooky soap that would look great in any bathroom.  Two the skull is made with goat's milk and the soap is made with anise seed. This probably smells delicious and the effect on your skin must be heavenly!

3. Snappy Shop- Coffee Loves Milk

I can't even explain to you the cuteness of this apron. I mean it's coffee in love with milk. I want this so bad. You see in my household of tea drinkers we're the color of coffee and milk. Plus I love to cook. So I can profess my love in a kitschy way and avoid splatters! Score!

 Enjoy!
