Warning: NSFW/ The Naughty Side of Etsy

Just a warning, some of the picture therein are of underwear and might be NSFW.

I Love love love underthings.

Ms. Belle is a specially shaped woman. Like we all are
. Many mainstream companies that deal in lingerie often have women in the wrong size, especially when it comes to your bra size. Often times we are to
ld especially by Victoria's Secret that we are a certain size, and we aren't!

Vicki's had been telling me for years that I wore a 34 DD when I got measured at Wizard of Bras here in California it turns out I wore a 34F! Now yours truly is wearing a quite comfortable 32H. Maybe that's an overshare, but it's really important that you get your bra measured correctly outside of Victoria's Secret. Wearing the wrong bra can lead to all sorts of back and support
 problem dearies.

I bet you didn't know that Etsy sells custom underthings. From Pasties to Panties Etsy has tons of things to make you feel correct and sexy no matter the size. Here are some of my top picks!

For the adventurous gall HMS latex offers great prices on garments that would otherwise be mass produced and nine paychecks! I myself lust after this cute Bolero, but I really want to show you the Quarter Cup Frilly Latex Bra. Not only is is sassy and sexy, it comes in any color combo you could dream of!

I effing lurve this shop. They have the cutest panties and will make everything in custom sizing! I'm a huge fan of the Morning Glory Panties, but I want to bring you the Tiger Lily Camisole. Not only does it look sexy, but it looks super comfy!

Bombshell Design is a new shop, but they really have started on the right foot.  I love the Flora Underwire Bra.So cute!

For those who love corsets LaBelle Fairy has some moderately priced ones that are really a treat. My current favorite is the Overbust Scarlet Silk Victorian. That red is so delicious, and all of her corsets have steel boning, which is the best boning. Also can we say plus sizes?! T
here are some super gorgeous photos at the site. Please check this one out lovelies.

I've kept my burlesque loving eye on this shop, because I really want a pair of the Champagne Purple Satin and Rhinestone Nipple Pasties. I mean if I must twirl my girls I want to twirl them in style. Plus I really have the desire to create a huge purple headress to wear with it!

Updates, Holidays and Awesomeness at the Belle!

So many of you are like, "OH NO! WHERE ARE MY UPDATES?!" Well, my loves here they are. There are dozens of new things at the Belle. Including a restructuring of sections in the shop. The Belle Cheveux collection encompasses all the fantastic things I make for your hair that can't fit into other collections. For some strange reason I love making hair accessories. Some of my favorite things in the Belle Cheveux collection are my hair clips which use vintage buttons and hair clips I give a deep patina to.

Currently I'm crushing on the Orabelles, which I think would be perfect for parties. There's a dozen of them that are super fun, so check them out! They also make great stocking stuffers!

Another new collection Belle Kawaiiencompasses all things inspired by Japanese Cuteness. That's where you find mascots and uber cute brooches, hair clips and earrings!
I am in love with the I Am A Banana Hair clips and the Shake it Up earrings.

Both of them are made from vintage 1980's poly resin parts. So cute!

And now the updates you've been waiting for... Horns. These are probably the most expensive horns I've made, but they are encrusted with REAL swarovski crystals. Evening out at $25 a pair these horns are really glamorous.

First up, made especially fro those celebrating Yule, The Holly King horns are gorgeous. Done in a deep metallic fores green with firey colored swarovski crystals, these kind of glow and sparkle with power. Neat eh?

The other pair is the beautiful St. Nikolaus horns. They're done in a bright red and studded with emerald green crystals. Beautiful!

Watch out this Monday in which we'll have a serious one Day Holiday sale for Eid ul' Adha

Also, if you lurve free shipping and read this blog, mention that you read the blog and receive free shipping on all Belle Kawaii items until Tuesday!

Love ya loves!

Bustling at the Belle

Lest you lovelies think I was slacking off, I've been in serious high production to bring some quality things for you this season. Expect a snowy white fascinator next week to pop up and some amazing knits from the Belle as well. There *will* be Yule and X-mas horns. Here are just  a few of the updates to tease you up. ;)

First up is the Imperial Dragon Horns. I was thinking sparkly dragons with this pair, and honestly I absolutely love the fact that I get to use jade and jasper cabochons! My fiancee disagrees with the Dragon idea as he thinks they look like Cthulu horns. Hmm...

The Mesdames X line has been really been brought up. There are several new neck ruffs, and I have to admit to the Victoria being my favorite.
It's such a sumptuous little Mama to put on.  It's very quirky and fun, yet very elegant. The browns really work together. Also I can add vintage velvet as a custom lining for added luxury. Squee! There's also the equally kick ass Marseilles which is the double of the choker I wore for my Little Red Riding Hood Costume. Everything in the Mesdames X line is of course hand sewn.

My most favorite of my updates is my Sugar Plum fairy horns! Glitter, metallic plum paint and purple glass cabochons! To die for!

Stay tuned, because this evening there's going to be an article of the creative packaging going on here at the Belle!

I'm Bringing the Shiny!

Last night was a rather busy night here in Violentbelle land. There are a ton of new earrings up, including the irresistibly cute pewter "Cuff Me" earrings. Mmm. Tasty.
Also there's a new Necklace up, the Rock and Roll Queen. The Rock and Roll Queen is a necklace that I'm super proud of. It consists of a rattlesnake vertebrae on curled wire with a patina-ed dull razor blade. The charm that tops this all off is a guitar pick I found in an abandoned building. To me this necklace exudes rock and class. Blood, Bone and Music.

Also, because Violentbelle is antsy I've dropped mini hat prices again, and at this point I am unlikely to go any lower on these crop of hats.
You can get a regular sized mini hat for $45 dollars and a chibi mini for about $20-30. Yea. That's lower than the cost to make the pretties.
I just want to give them good homes as I'm not making any more until this batch is gone from the house.

Keep tuned I have a HUGE update to the Mesdames X collection looming!

November Lovin'.

Good morning ma belles!

Now that Halloween is over things have slowed down at the Belle, and I wanted to thank each and every one of you for your support. November is a month for cleaning and as such I have slashed prices on my mini hats...dangerously. If you've admired a hat of mine I urge you to get it now that I've taken between $10 and $20 dollars off. So that $75 dollar hat you had your eye on could be $50. The Ice Princess is the cheapest hat at the mo being only $25 bucks. Yeah. I know, it's almost criminal.

I also bring new treats for you! Remember those ultra special horns I spoke about? Well meet the Marie Antoinette. Done is a rich rococo blue with pearl and antique gold marbling the Marie Antoinette horns are wrapped in gold wire and have white veined marble cabochons.
I really wanted a pair of barrettes that would capture the quirkiness of one of my favorite periods, and I'm super proud of them! If you love the Marie Antoinette, but are on a budget try the La Dauphine horns. Same coloring no frills.

The Czarina horns are another favorite, much like the Blood Drop horns. Done in gold wire with perfect tear drop blood red Austrian crystals on a deep red background.

Lest you think I bring only horns I also have some awesome additions to the Mesdames X line.
I think you're going to die for the Soul Key brooch. A pewter skull rests on frayed rich wine velvet ribbon which in turn rests on a bright silver toned filigree disk. Attached to the disk is a dangling pewter key with a heart shape. Once you affix the brooch the key dangles beautifully. I have my own one of these cuties and I ADORE it. I got a lot of compliments on it so I'm offering it up to you.

Another part of the Mesdames X collection is a rarity with a story.

I bought these razor blades in a findings house. I was told they were cheaply dipped in actual 14k gold and used throughout the seventies to cut coke. The guy thought someone would eventually buy the razor blades and make *something* from them.
These dull blades have a rich patina, and so I decided it would be best to just turn it into a simple yet beautiful brooch. Violentbelle would be super pleased if you didn't use this blunt blade for its intended purpose.  It would look far better if you stuck it on a sweet velvet jacket and made it yours.

Halloween At the Belle

It's no secret that I LOVE to dress up. Even if I wear a simple jeans and Tee combination, I generally still like to do something funky with my hair or wear an odd accessory. I've worn a ton of costume in my life, and I'm here to show you my absolute favorites from the past five years(that I can find.  a picture of).

First up is my first college creation. I went as a broken doll, and
you could pull the string in my back and  I'd say some pretty horrible stuff. The outfit itself is a restitched and purposed vintage 1950's taffeta party dress, and I wore another 1950's slip underneath. It was cold so I carried a sweet knitted matching sweater! I sewed all the bows and made all the accessories myself way before I had a machine to call my own.

Another outfit I was proud of was my Queer Bash Costume from the Spring of '05. QB is a party thrown by my alma mater's QSU that basically celebrated Coming Out Days. It was the best party on campus every semester. I'm proud to say that from that year on I won every costume contest for QB while I was there. Score!

That year I
upcycled again. The theme was Seven Sins and I of course went as pride.  I created a bustle and boot tops of spray painted gold and green tulle. There
were dozens of gold painted chopsticks lining my bun, and pearls everywhere. But the coolest part of this outfit? I spirit gummed peacock feather to my temples so they look like lashes. Oh yeah.

My final QB costume was an Artemis(Can you tell how much I love her) costume I'm very proud of, but that I'll  show you some time in November when I start to document my first foray into Con masquerades.

Moving out of college and into Hollywood Goth scene where every weekend is Halloween comes me as Zoe Wasburne from Firefly.  This wasn't my best effort, but I had two weeks and a thrift store in order to complete this one. I don't think it was *that* bad.

One of my last big costumes that was my favorite was a Harajuku girl done for an anime night at Malediction, a fairly popular Goth club here. I had two huge falls in my hair, and as many vintage fluorescent accessories as I could manage. The dress itself was was an upcycled 70's black gown that was hacked short and tied with a florescent 70's obi sash! It pales in comparison to the actual women of that hallowed district, but hey, I tried.

So dive into your closets ma Belles! I'm sure there's a costume waiting somewhere!
